Vegan Tuna using Hearts of Palm

Haven't tried using Hearts of Palm to make vegan "tuna"? Then you must give this recipe a try. Hearts of Palm makes for the perfect replicate of tuna, flaky with similar texture.

Hearts of Palm have a little sweetness to them, add 1/2 minced pickle to combat the sweetness.


1 can Hearts of Palm

2 tbsp vegan mayo

1 small square of seaweed

2 tsp Dijon mustard

1 tsp garlic powder

Red onion

Green onion

Dash of salt and pepper



1. Cut Hearts of Palm in half. Using fingers or a fork shred the hearts of palm

2. Add ingredients to bowl, mix thoroughly

3. Place in fridge for 30 minutes 4. Make a delicious "tuna" sandwich! Enjoy
